What counts as a business day?

For this calculator, a business day is a weekday that is not an observed U.S. federal holiday.

Are weekends business days?

No. Saturdays and Sundays are treated as non-business days.

Do federal holidays matter even if the date falls on a weekend?

Yes. The calculator uses observed holiday dates, so if a holiday is observed on Friday or Monday, that observed date is treated as the non-business day.

Is this the same as every bank's internal business-day policy?
